I really liked this lighter when I got it. It seemed to have solid, yet plastic construction for the body and better thought out that some of the less expensive models. It is refillable, and has a flame adjustment. It also has a nice grip, that works well with the safety mechanism. It worked initially - but for some reason then (After two months) simply would light intermittently then finally not light at all. So it didn't last a year over all and turned out to worse overall than the cheaper models (2.99) which are not refillable . Somehow the ignition system failed as it has plenty of gas and if I put my own spark or flame to the end it would light.
I have since moved onto the Zippo model - much better construction and the Zippo seems like it will last much longer. (Though it is more expensive)
So if your looking for a cheap lighter - go for a 2.99 model, if you want one that lasts... go for the Zippo.
