We purchased this carrier to bring our 6.5-lb Chihuahua with us on vacation, including a two-hour flight each way. It worked perfectly. It was our dog's first flight and he slept through it inside the carrier. There is just enough room for him to stand up and turn around, something to keep in mind if your dog or cat weighs more than 7 lbs (you'll need a bigger carrier). The sides of the carrier are reasonably stiff, good enough for most situations. The removable bed liner is soft and plush. Our dog seems to like it, since he happily used the carrier as his place to sleep for our entire vacation. The carrier has an overall look and feel of quality. Nothing seems like it will fall apart. The carrier made it through our vacation without any damage and worked well, so I give it a big thumbs up.
